China’s milk scandal

Lately we have been hearing about the baby milk scandal on the news... here is some thing i got from reading The Economist.. should shed light into why they did it...

"The government blames middlemen who collect milk from dairy farmers. They allegedly added water to increase its volume and, to disguise this, mixed in melamine, a chemical used to make plastics, which can deceive inspectors about the milk’s protein content. Melamine gained notoriety last year when several pets in America died after eating food contaminated with it by Chinese-made additives." worst of all... they found that substance in one of my childhood(and still is) favorite sweet... white rabit... and the Chinese Government is recalling them. So sad, i hope they fix the prob and get it back on the market. I really like them....
